Not sure if anyone has read this, but BBC recently did an article on Kenya’s new constitution. This could be the first ray of hope Kenya has seen in about 20 years.
This constitution is the product of two decades worth of work. It is the second republic Kenya has had since its independence only this time the government will be unable to exploit tribal differences in order to insight tensions.
Ask any of the AIM missionaries about the IDP, internally-displaced persons, Camps that are riddled throughout Kenya. These people were left without a home and rights after the last Kenyan election in 2007. Ask them of the hopelessness that lingers in and out of these places; a spirit of oppression that affects so many.
Yet this new constitution maybe a ray of hope those who were left with nothing, three years ago. Here’s to hopes and prayers of a change for the better.
