This is usually the place where the author spews remarkable exploits from their life, stories of grandeur and indulgence, and the noteworthy accomplishment or two. If you should happen to read mine, I would appear to fail in following suit of the greats that have come before me. Yet for the sake of appeasement, I will regal you with stories of my past so that you maybe better acquainted with me as a person…

I am an individual, who up until three years ago, was 8th grade Social studies teacher for a small charter school in my hometown. Prior to this accomplishment, I spent five years at Saginaw Valley State University where I received a Bachelors in History, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. Then I completed a two year stint teaching middle school students. During this time, I accepted an invitation to go to the G42 Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain. Originally, I was set to be there for six weeks, but instead, I ended up attending for six months. Truly, these were the most amazing and life-changing months of my life.

As of this year, I have led a three month trip to Southern India and a month trip to Israel. The participants on both trips were absolutely amazing and I am truly honored to have served along side each and every one of them. In September, I was slated to lead a trip to Brazil only to be asked to lead the Kenya team, three weeks before departure. It took me an hour to process, and I came to the conclusion, if I am asking my participants to give up rights and expectations, I must be willing to do that first. Once this took place, Kenya was the most amazing team I have ever had the opportunity to be apart of.

My life has been not ordinary by any stretch of the imagination.

I now find myself on staff with AIM in the Passport department. I am a reading of blogs, vast numbers of blogs to be exact, and a communicator of team leaders. And I am just shy of five weeks of being married to my best friend. I recommend you check out her blog.
