This video is from our last day at the IDP Camp. Lizzie Burks bought some clothes and a pair of new shoes for our young friend, Otto. He is around 5-6 years old and his life has been anything but normal. During the election clash, his father left and eight weeks ago, his mom left. Currently, his 14-year-old sister is taking care of him and his three brothers, all who are under 12. Yet despite the hardships, he always had the biggest smile on his face. Not only was he excited that Lizzie would give him a gift, but that he received new shoes. Just so you, until this moment, he never had a new pair of shoes!

  6. Something as simple as a pair of shoes! We are so privileged and so rich. No one ever knows until they experience it. I’ll never forget the look on the face of my little Guatemalan girl when I bought her the very first jean skirt she’d ever had. She blessed me beyond words.
